Q.     Plain Dutch and Gay Dutch?

A.      The Plain Dutch include the Mennonites, the Amish, the Brethren, the Moravian, the Dunkard and other Annabaptist and "Plain Dress" sects. Plain people de-emphasize outward adornment. Plain dress is a part of the nonconformity and the separation from the world principle. The Gay Dutch include the Catholics, the Reformed, the Lutheran and other German churches not practicing "plain people" principles.
